Everyone is familiar with advertising giant Leo Burnett. They are legendary makers of countless commercials for the biggest brands. But the best and one of the most inspiring works of art however are not only found in their archives. In the New York office of Leo Burnett, there is an artwork that depicts the logo of Leo Burnett. This artwork has been completely designed using recycled keys from keyboards. A simple pencil design with Leo Burnett written on it is an inspiring creation.

Artist Nemo Gould creates hypothetical sci fi beings in as his sculptures and art forms. His artwork is created from trash collected from dumpsites and then he uses his imagination to create design forms that are alluring, mysterious and remarkably creative. His creations are abstract as well as humanoid in nature. However there is one message that each of them sends across aloud. And that message is to promote recycling. His work has been exhibited on all forms of popular media including TV and magazines.

Designer Henrique Oliveira makes eco art using materials that have been discarded. The primary component of her art work is plywood that she salvages from the dumpsters in Sao Paulo. This plywood is the one that has been discarded as redundant fences and such like. However when one sees the designer’s creations, it is impossible to fathom that the components have been derived from such commonplace sources. The elegance of the art form combined with the resourcefulness ensure that the viewers feel the aesthetic impact.

There is no better way of informing the need of recycling than by using the most obvious form of delivering it. TRASHed- The Art of Recycling focuses on dustbins as the mode of depiction of the idea. Dustbins have always been around but we always fail to notice them because of their obvious presence. The program aims at using bins and painting them in artistic and attractive manner so that even if you want to, you would not be able to ignore them.

Beauty is all pervasive and it is evident from the art forms created by artist Warren Muller. The artist has put together regular items like water hose, wheel, kitchen utensils all of which have been discarded but the artist found them and put them to excellent use. He has created lighting systems that are colorful yet elegant, charming yet utilitarian. These “lamps” and “chandeliers” are some of the most graceful artistic creations made out of collating and attaching disposable items. However they run the idea of recycling right home!

Japanese artist Tadashi Kwamata creates artwork in wood. His work is created on a grand scale and the artist uses old scraps of furniture and wood only to create his work. The artist has not restricted his work at galleries. He displays them wherever he deems fit they would pass on the message for recycling. He uses the wood collected form scrap yards and homes to create humungous structures. All these items have one purpose; spread the message to save the environment and reuse items as much as possible.

The “Wind Brought Us the Crisis” is an art portrait created by Gustavo Sanabria which consists of news paper, specifically the financial times section. Each of these news paper sheets are highlighted by lights being placed underneath them and making them glow. These papers were placed and then blown on the steps of the  Stock Exchange in Madrid. The photographer took the perfect shots that forms this collection of pictures which have been created to highlight the economic crisis that has affected all countries.

Nothing sends a message across better than an artistic campaign. Fost Plus has come up with a simple and an effective ad campaign against littering. This campaign has a tag line that says “Litter Belongs in the trash bin”. However it is not the tagline but the art that it brings with it catches attention. The campaign features a magazine with litter on it. Raw in creativity and effectiveness of this art form is what has made this campaign really successful.

Artist Garry LeMaster is an artist who does something that is surprisingly unique and almost unknown. The artist is known for his excellent craftsmanship on egg shells. Artist Sandy Smith has created one of the most exceptional designs using recycled monitors. This is called the Mauritian Sunset. The design has been created by the use of redundant computer monitors and cabinets. They have been put together and set up to glow to create what the artist deems the Mauritius sunset to be. Recycled artwork can be used in architecture to create spectacular designs. Australian brand Aesop which specializes in botanical skin care products has built a retail store which has a ceiling made out of empty recycled bottles. This ceiling has got a wave form and the bottles as they glint in the light offer one of the most spectacular views in the interiors of the building. The bottles have been used as a part of innovative design and as a part of promotion of recycling and the appropriate use of natural resources.

Artist peter Root has used thousands of transformer pins to create an art form that won him a coveted award at Satchi Art Gallery Exhibition in 2006. His artwork exhibits a modern cityscape. This design is called Transformer and it is dedicated to the growth of urban life.
