This art form by Naoko is an innovative way to point out the need to pay attention to environment. The artist has used twigs salvaged from various places and put them in glass jars. Susan Stockwell from Britain has created a world map using recyclable computer parts. This creation is beautiful, unique, innovative and abstract, all at the same time. There are various interpretations of the art but the best understood is that of the need for recycling. Computers are used the world over but now they have become a huge pollution hazard. Artist Corey Collins has created a magnificent and life-like sculpture of Eos, the Greek Goddess of dawn. The artist has used discarded materials like spoons, forks, radiator, leaf springs of an ambulance, locks, hatchet, watches, plow blades, scissors and parts of vehicles like motorcycle and tractor to create this fabulous design which took 18 months to complete. With 88’’ wingspan and 53’’ in height, this is one of the most astounding pieces of metalwork created using thrown away parts. This work of art is sheer genius.



Artist Henri Sagna of Senegal has become a world famous artist known for his recycled art forms to promote recovery and recycling. He has created unique sculptures, with every raw material for those being derived from recycled items. His work has been prominently displayed in the galleries of France where he has been listed as one of the 10 most creative artists by the Dapper Museum in Paris. His work like the Fish is simple, yet exquisite designs. He has successfully been creating his artwork to actively promote recycling.


Dumpster Drivers of Philadelphia are a group of 40 artists and designers who have joined hands to form this formidable group that is dedicated to recycling. All the members of this group have come together for the promotion of the single cause and each of them creates art work using discarded items. There are numerous art works and sculptures that the group has created and they have been exhibited in various art shows. The groups’ art work includes animal as well as abstract art work.

The materials used in the creation of this showroom are items discarded during the construction of buildings nearby. The architect used reused windows, ceilings and doors. The floor in the main room is made out of a cube of recycled wood. The whole structure was created with the assistance of the local community which showed interest in this eco friendly program. As a building, it has architectural beauty and as artwork, it is impeccable.


The uses of wire can be many. However converting them into art work that is attractive takes a certain level of skills. This is exactly what a Russian artist has done. He has used discarded CAT 5 cables to create amazing soldier figurines that can make the space they occupy look like a warzone.
